Chamber Ensemble Club – Bringing Music to the Community
Our Saturday Chamber Ensemble Club has been thriving since their launch in April 2024, under the direction of Mr Yohei. Students have been enjoying rehearsals and exploring popular classical repertoire in a collaborative and creative environment.
On Sunday, 30th March, our ensemble had the honour of performing for Betty’s 107th birthday at Surbiton Care Home. The residents were truly wonderful and thoroughly enjoyed the quartet’s performance, which included:
Spring and Autumn by Vivaldi
Jupiter from the Planets by Holst
Canon by Pachelbel
In December 2024, our Christam quintet also had the opportunity to spread festive cheer, performing Christmas carols at Surbiton Care Home, Waitrose Surbiton, and Kokoro Restaurant on the high street. Passers-by stopped, applauded, and enjoyed the music, creating a joyful holiday atmosphere.
We look forward to many more performances and bringing music to our community once again!
